Happy Friday with a side of DUro-last and Sarnafil from solar power in mn

Well its a great warm day in mn. I have been doing some research with white roof systems that work well in mn. I came up with the conclusion that Duro-Last and Sarnafil are two of the top options. They both are white and carry a high  envery star status. They have high reflectivity and last a long time with a good warranty. Duro-last is made in custom sheets in factory up to 2500 sq feet white Sarnafil is a rolled good that can be sized to any job fully welded on site. They are both a PVC blend with a scrim inside. In testing them the duro-last seemed to be harder to  pull apart after an initial but but both were strong. Duro-last come in 40 up to a special 100 mil while Sarnafil comes  in 60-80 mil in standard rolled goods. Being a PVC with flame retardants neigher will burn after being pulled away from a flame in a burn test and both have additives so molds will stay off them. I also like the way both work well with solar PV installs and the high reflectitvity works well with the Solyndra 360 spiral solar cells. Either would be a great choice in Mn for a COOL WHITE ROOF with SOLAR.
